Overview
Mobile App Development Group (“we,” “us,” or “our”) built MARV — My Assistant for Return Visits as a privacy-first personal organizer for managing recurring visits. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information. The short version: all data stays on your device. We do not collect, access, or transmit any personal information.
Information You Enter
MARV allows you to record information about people you visit, including names, addresses, notes, and follow-up dates. This information is:
- Stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database
- Never transmitted to our servers or any third-party service
- Never backed up to our infrastructure (though it may be included in your personal iCloud or iTunes backup if you have those enabled — this is governed by Apple’s privacy policy)
- Permanently deleted when you uninstall the app or clear app data
Information We Do Not Collect
MARV does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following on our end:
- Any personally identifiable information you enter into the app
- Location data or GPS coordinates
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics, session data, or crash reports sent to us
- Contacts, photos, or microphone data
- Financial or payment information
Device Permissions
MARV may request access to your device’s contacts solely to help you quickly populate visit records. If granted, contact data is read on-device only and is never uploaded or shared. You can deny this permission and still use all core features of the app.
Third-Party Services
MARV does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or cloud storage services. There are no third-party SDKs in the app that collect or process your personal data.
Purchases
If you purchase MARV or any in-app features, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment details. We do not sell, share, or use purchase information for any purpose beyond fulfilling your order.
Children’s Privacy
MARV is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 13 years of age.
Data Security
MARV stores all data in a local SQLite database on your device. The security of that data depends on your device’s passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID. We recommend enabling device-level encryption and keeping your iOS software up to date.
Your Rights
Because we do not collect or store any of your personal data on our systems, we cannot access, modify, or delete it on your behalf. All control over your data rests with you. You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling MARV from your device.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
